The Municipal Swimming Pools Complex of Olhão (CPMO) was inaugurated on April 26, 2000. On September 8, 2009, CPMO obtained the quality certificate, in accordance with ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality Management Systems), becoming one of the first certified complexes south of the Tagus.
Since its founding, the Olhão Municipal Pools have been capturing the growing interest of the population, registering a year-on-year increase in use.
The CPMO is a sports infrastructure of formative base, constituted by a single covered building that includes the following elements:
1 - Competition Tank, 25 x 16,67 meters, with depth of 2m; 8 tracks (25x2m + 0.67m);
2 - Learning Tank, 15 x 8 meters, depth in the longitudinal direction: from 0.9m to 1.2m; 5 tracks (15x1.6m);
3 - Initiation tank, 10 x 6 meters, depth in the longitudinal direction of 0.6 and 0.8 cm; 2 tracks (10x3m);
4 - Hydro massage tank / Jacuzzi.
5 - Benches for 150 people.
6 - Technical rooms and support rooms for activities, including locker rooms, changing rooms, medical center, multipurpose room, administrative office, technical gallery and bar.
